Electronic speed controllers fail from crash punch-through, solder bridges, and over-current. TechHobby drone part repairing inspects 4-in-1 and single ESCs for shorted MOSFETs, blown capacitors, and damaged motor pads. A “burnt ESC” is not automatically a write-off — but a cratered MOSFET bank often is.

We do not claim every ESC is repairable. Multiple dead phases, lifted inner layers, or a missing MCU on a 4-in-1 usually means replace. We will say that clearly.
