Receiver drone part repairing

Receiver drone part repairing

This page is for generic FPV radio receivers: Crossfire, FrSky, Ghost, and similar — not ELRS-specific boards (use the ELRS page for those). We check bind status, 5 V rail, and antenna pads after a crash or a pulled wire.

This drone part repairing page is only for this part family. Use it if the board matches the heading — not as a generic “any drone repair” page. Mail-in is India-wide; the bench is in Jaipur. Repairability is decided after inspection, not from a photo alone.

Typical faults we see

# Symptom or damage
1 Will not bind
2 No telemetry
3 Antenna pad ripped
4 5 V pad burnt
5 Intermittent failsafe
6 Water damage
7 Broken ceramic antenna
8 UART not talking to the FC

Process for this service

Step What we do
1 Photos of the RX and antennas
2 Ship the receiver
3 5 V and UART check
4 RF/antenna pad inspection
5 Estimate
6 Your approval
7 Pad or regulator work
8 Bind-bench test when we have a matching TX

What we do and do not repair

A crushed RF can or a receiver that has already been “tinned” on every pad may not be worth saving. We will recommend a new RX when that is cheaper.

Frequently asked questions

I have an ELRS receiver. Is this the right page?

Use the ELRS Receiver Repair page. This page is for other protocols (Crossfire, FrSky, and similar).

Can you replace a torn IPEX antenna?

Often yes if the pad remains. A missing RF matching network is a different job.

Do you need my radio?

No. Send the receiver. We test what we can on the bench; you complete bind at home.

Is a 2.4 GHz Nano RX worth repairing?

If the MCU is fine and only the antenna or 5 V failed, yes. A $15 RX with a cracked chip is usually replace.

Can I send a receiver from a plane, not a quad?

Yes. Fixed-wing and quad receivers use the same form.
