Gemfan WinDancer 5043 specs for 5" freestyle

Motors last for seasons. Props do not. The listing that keeps leaving the TechHobby cart is the Gemfan WinDancer 5043 3-blade (₹199 a pair). Gemfan aimed it at grip in corners, which is why freestyle and racing pilots both run it.

Listed specifications

  • Length 5 inch, pitch 4.3 inch (5×4.3)
  • Three blades, polycarbonate
  • Weight about 4.1g per prop
  • Hub thickness 7mm, mounting hole 5mm
  • POPO compatible on the Skitzo Galaxy colourway listed

Buy the direction the quad is missing

Read the pack contents before checkout. A listing can be one rotation only. A quad needs two CW and two CCW. Ordering four of the same direction leaves you with spares you cannot mount. Keep at least one extra pair of each direction in the pit bag.

What to hang them on

5043 belongs on a 5" freestyle or racing quad, typically 6S with motors around 1900–2100KV. The GEPRC SPEEDX2 2207 (₹2,799) and the HGLRC Specter 2306.5 1900KV (₹1,799) are that class. Feed them with a CNHL Black Series 1300mAh 6S.

A whoop, a 3" cinewhoop, or a 7" long-range wing needs a different prop. Browse 5" props only after the frame size is fixed. If the whole 5" budget is still open, start from custom 5" cost in India and treat props as a consumable. After a crash, a broken blade is the cheap failure. A burnt ESC is the expensive one — repair or replace.

Frequently asked questions

Does one listing include a full quad set?

Check the product page. The WinDancer 5043 listing describes a pair, and direction (CW or CCW) matters. A quad needs two of each.

What is the shaft hole?

5mm, with a 7mm hub thickness. That is a standard 5" motor shaft. Whoops and 2" builds use a different prop.

How much does one blade weigh?

About 4.1g per prop. Four on the quad is roughly 16g of polycarbonate, which is why pilots treat them as consumables.

Which motors pair with 5043 on 6S?

A 2207 or 2306 class motor around 1900–2100KV. HGLRC Specter 2306.5 1900KV and GEPRC SPEEDX2 2207 are that window.

How many spares should I keep?

At least one extra pair of each direction. A single freestyle session usually costs more props than motors.
